Michael C. Smuin, DDS, FAGD
In 1994 I graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry. Afterwards, my wife, Holly, and I moved our small family to Vernal to start our dental practice. Since that time my staff and I have provided a wide range of dental services in the Uintah Basin. Holly and I were both raised in Carbon County. However, my roots run deep in the Uintah Basin as both of my parents were raised here.
Prior to dental school I graduated from Carbon High School. I then attended the College of Eastern Utah and the University of Utah. I am a member of the American Dental Association, the Utah Dental Association, the Academy of LDS Dentists, and the Academy of General Dentistry; where I was awarded the prestigious Fellowship Award in 2009.
My family and I have always enjoyed athletics and outdoor activities. When not in the dental office I am most likely to be found enjoying the great outdoors with friends and family. I have spent many years coaching baseball, basketball, softball, and serving in the Boy Scouts of America.
I am grateful for the support of my staff and patients in this great community. I look forward to providing high quality dental care to patients of all ages.
Dr. Curtis Orme and his wife Karson were raised in Nephi, Utah. Upon graduating from Juab High School, Curtis served a two-year church mission to Alabama. There he fell in love with the southern people, BBQ, and Alabama football. “Roll Tide!” Curtis and Karson were married in 2016 and together have enjoyed raising their three children: Macray (5), Laynie (3), and Dottie (1). Dr. Orme graduated cum laude and with honors from SUU then attended the University of Louisville (Kentucky) School of Dentistry where he developed a passion for clinical dentistry. The Orme family enjoys playing sports and a variety of outdoor recreation, hunting, fishing and golf being among the top three. Curtis, Karson, and their kids are excited to call Vernal home. Dr. Orme looks forward to providing a wide range of personal and quality dental services to neighbors, friends, and family in the Basin.
